I recently completed a personality-type questionnaire that was so accurate, I thought I should share.
I have taken all kinds of assessments over the years - way back when I was in University, then as a Government employee (team-building exercises), at different times with my coaches (Kolbe-A) and mentorship programs... all have their merits and I always learn something about myself that I can use for reflection and improvement.
In this particular case - the assessment was very fast (2 minutes), and the explanation was very helpful, informative and accurate.
The iMA Assessment is based on Carl Jung's work on Psychological Types which identified the 4 dominant patterns of behaviour.
iMA High Red
High Reds are goal oriented go-getters who are most comfortable when they are in charge of people and situations. They focus on a no-nonsense approach to bottom-line results. They are fast-paced; task-oriented and work quickly and impressively by themselves
(reference: Steve McNulty)
High reds focus on results. They dislike wasting time and touchy-feely activities and they can improve their effectiveness through active listening, developing patience and creating a more effective communication style.
They display the following characteristics amongst others:
- High ego strength
- Like maximum freedom to self manage
- Look for immediate results
- Problem solvers
- Likes control
- Dislikes inaction
What types of roles suit a High Red? >> "Military personnel, operations managers, factory supervisors, accountants and similar roles suit High Reds."
Based on that, it would seem I am working in the role that suits me best as a business and operations manager working with six-figure online entrepreneurs!
Here's the summary Karen sent me, based on my questionnaire.
